The Honey Moon smooth melon is a variety completely free of netting and slicing, with skin colour ranging from grey-green to straw yellow at ripeness. Cucumis melo 'Honey Moon' belongs to the Cucurbitaceae family. It is a creeping annual herbaceous plant, of good vigour and adaptability to different growing cycles. The fruits are round in shape and medium-sized, with completely smooth skin free of netting, and salmon-orange flesh, soft and juicy, with a high sugar content (Brix).
How to Sow Honey Moon Melon
Sowing takes place from March to April in a protected seedbed at constant temperatures around 25°C, transplanting in late April-May. In open field, direct sowing is possible from May, burying seeds about 2-3 centimetres deep in well-warmed soil.
