Borg 9 Chocolate Seeds produce a chocolate-colored variant of one of the most powerful superhots ever selected, belonging to the species Capsicum chinense.
plant grows 70-100 cm and produces small, bumpy fruits with the irregular surface typical of superhots, turning chocolate brown at full ripeness.
sowing should be done between February and March in a heated seedbed at 26-28°C: germination is slow, taking 2 to 5 weeks, and benefits from constant light.
transplanting takes place once seedlings have 4-6 true leaves and night temperatures are above 15°C, in full sun and fertile, well-drained, slightly acidic soil.
it should be watered regularly without waterlogging, and benefits from potassium-rich feeding during flowering to favor fruit set and heat.
it can be prone to aphids and spider mites under protected cultivation, as well as root rot in case of excess moisture.
