Dried Naga Viper Pepper is the dried version of one of the hottest peppers in the world, a complex cross between Bhut Jolokia, Naga Morich and Trinidad Scorpion, belonging to the species Capsicum chinense, which for a time held the Guinness World Record as the hottest pepper.

The Naga Viper Plant

The plant is vigorous, with irregular, bumpy, pointed fruits that turn a bright red at maturity. The shape can vary considerably from fruit to fruit, a typical trait of complex crosses.

How to Sow Naga Viper

Sow in a heated seedbed between February and March, keeping temperatures constant at 25-28°C: Capsicum chinense germination usually takes 3-4 weeks, often slower for this variety.

How to Grow Naga Viper

Transplant from May, once night temperatures stay stably above 15°C. It prefers full sun, fertile well-drained soil, regular watering and supportive fertilization throughout the season.
