Verdinio Sicilian dwarf cluster tomato is a highly productive dwarf variety that needs no staking, with fruit showing an intense red mixed with dark green colouring.
It belongs to the species Solanum lycopersicum, family Solanaceae. A compact, dwarf, highly productive plant that requires no staking.
Sow in a heated seedbed between February and March; transplant between April and May.
Thanks to its compact habit it also adapts well to pot cultivation; regular watering favours cluster production.
The medium-sized fruits show, at full ripeness, an intense red mixed with dark green colouring and are harvested in clusters.
Like other dwarf varieties it benefits from good canopy ventilation to prevent fungal diseases.
The sweet, intense flavour makes it perfect for raw consumption, excellent in salads and as a colourful snack for starters.
Rich in lycopene, vitamin C and potassium, Verdinio tomato has antioxidant properties beneficial to overall wellbeing.
